The Rising Tide
Capital Campaign Impact
in Student Life

As Student Life concludes its portion of The Rising Tide 2.0 Capital Campaign, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends who have invested in the future of our students. Your support is transforming the student experience at the Capstone by expanding access to scholarships, strengthening programs that promote health and well-being, enhancing opportunities for leadership development and engaged learning, and ensuring students have the resources they need to thrive.

These investments ease financial burdens, foster belonging and resilience, and empower students to focus on academic achievement and personal growth. The impact of your giving will be felt far beyond a student's time on campus, shaping graduates who are prepared to lead, serve and contribute to their communities.

Together, we are creating a stronger, more supportive Alabama experience and changing lives for generations to come.

New Scholarships Created

During this campaign, Student Life established 39 new endowed scholarships, expanding access to academic financial support for students across the student body.

These scholarships provide both immediate assistance for today’s students and, through endowments, long-term scholarship support for future generations of UA students.

Scholarship Funding Raised

Donors contributed over $16 million toward scholarship support, helping more students access the resources they need to remain enrolled in coursework, thrive at UA and ultimately, reach graduation.

This amount allows us to offer over $600,000 in scholarship funding to students per year and represents an investment not only in individual students, but in holistic student success and retention across the Capstone.

Programming Dollars Raised

This campaign generated $14 million in programming support for Student Life programs and initiatives, strengthening the experiences, resources and opportunities available to students outside the classroom.

Endowed support accounts for $8.6 million of this funding, providing an estimated annual $387,000 in programming support in perpetuity.

These funds allow Student Life to expand initiatives that promote connection, leadership, well-being and student engagement.

Crisis Funding Raised

$600,821 in crisis support was raised to help students navigate unexpected financial challenges that could otherwise disrupt their time at UA.

These funds provide flexible, timely assistance when students need it most, helping remove financial barriers and keep students moving toward their degrees.

Facilities Support

This campaign generated $619,371 to support Student Life facilities, ensuring that the spaces we offer for student community and engagement are updated and upgraded to meet the evolving needs of the UA community.
