
Student Opportunities at Moundville Archaeological Park
Student Internship
Moundville Archaeological Park offers internships designed to give students or emerging professionals hands-on experience in museum work, education, exhibits, events, and more. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that serve Indigenous communities, the public, and the mission of the park. If a student is interested in pursuing this position here are examples of project areas, we offer: Education, Outreach & Communications, Exhibits, Grants, and Festival Support. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 4 hours per week, with the option of working up to 20 hours per week depending on availability and project needs.
Internship Requirements: an interest in storytelling, willingness to learn new things, knowledge of how to find primary sources, strong writing and communication skills, creative and visual thinking skills, graphic design skills are a plus (example: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Canva)
